Umeå University celebrates the 10th annual Sami Week!

NEWS Sami Week 2009 will be held in Umeå from 28 February until 8 March. Many fantastic festivities and events will commemorate the rich culture of the indigenous people of northern Europe, including several affiliated with the university.

The celebration includes: concerts, art exhibitions, theatre, film, dance, yoik (traditional Sami song), workshops, food children’s activities, sport, lectures, seminars and much more.

Many events will be held in Swedish.
