In 2014, Umeå University will be introducing a multifunction ‘UmU card’ for students and employees. The UmU card is a combination of an access card, borrowing card for the university library, and a copying and printing card. It will replace all the existing cards previously used for these functions.
You will receive an e-mail with instructions when it’s your time to obtain the UmU card. Returning students will receive the e-mail automatically. If you are new student at Umeå University you must first activate your user account (CAS).
You need to be registered for a course in the study documentation system before you can use the card for access to the buildnings where you will study. Directly after picking up your UmU card, you may use it as a borrowing card, for printing and copying at most of the public printing machines, and other printers connected to the collective printing system.
