Investigation and Development of Work-Based Learning in Vocational Programmes
Research project
The project investigates and analyses how adaptations within work-based learning (WBL) are developed and implemented in two different vocational programmes.
In Swedish vocational education, as in neighbouring Nordic countries, work-based learning (WBL) constitutes a significant and essential part of instruction. This study investigates how vocational teachers make and implement adaptations in WBL. The study includes programmes with different gender profiles, and which differ in that they prepare students either for professions centred around human needs or for occupations within construction and goods production. Work-based learning is therefore assumed to have distinct characteristics across these contexts.
