I teach primarily in courses in teacher education. My research has concerned assessment and grading in compulsory school, but also other didactic questions. My teaching in teacher education is primarily concerned within the general-didactic field, and in particular I participate in courses about teachers' mission, teaching and leadership, as well as assessment of students' knowledge.
At the moment, I work with a research project entitled Subject-integrated teaching and assessment in social studies in school year 5 and 6. The research is conducted in collaboration with active teachers in compulsory school through classroom observations, interviews with students and teachers, as well as students' written reflections. This project is ongoing 2017-2020. The project is carried out on the basis of funds from the Umeå School of Education, and is part of the UmSOD (Umeå Research Centre for Social Studies Didactics), which consists of a network of scholars at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Arts. I am also engaged in the research area of Didactics, Evaluation and Assessment (DUB) at the Department of Education. I finished my PhD-thesis in 2015 and have since worked at the Department of Education, and also at the Department of Applied Educational Science. More about DUB
