Research project The project examines literature from the vantage point of place-making. Sámi and Tornedalian creations of a place with a history and culture of its own, as well as migrants’ experiences of in between-ness and multiple belongings are central themes.
A central research question is how iterative performances of Sápmi, Meänmaa and migrant cartographies affect ideas of Swedishness and belonging, as well as literary analysis and the writing of literary history.
