The implementation of regional development to reduce stigma of mental illness and suicide – A process evaluation

Research project Since 2018, the Swedish Public Health Agency has been tasked by the government to help reduce the stigma of mental illness and suicide.

The goal of these efforts is to give the regions better conditions for strengthening their promotion and prevention work, which in the long run aims to reduce the stigma of mental illness and suicide.

Project description

The project evaluates the implementation of the development in this area embedded in the regions. The overall purpose of the evaluation is to contribute to an in-depth understanding of the implementation process of the regional development in order to reduce the stigma of mental illness and suicide and further explore the factors that explain the outcomes.
