Validation of the health related life quality instrument EQ5d 5L for Sweden

Research project EQ5D is a questionnaire used in Sweden to estimate individuals' health-related quality of life. The instrument is used, among other things, in health care, government agencies and in health economics. The purpose of this project is to validate the instrument for Sweden, ie to calculate values based on the preferences of a Swedish population.

The EQ5D consists of five questions and the answers to these questions are an estimate of five health-related dimensions. You can also give each health situation a value between 0 and 1. 0 means the worst possible health-related quality of life and 1 means full health or the best possible health situation. The value for different health situations is determined by an algorithm that describes how the population weighs the 5 questions and how they collectively give a numerical value to health related quality of life.
