Planning grants for EU applications
Did you know that you can apply for up to SEK 200,000 to strengthen your EU application? The grant is aimed at researchers at Umeå University who wish to coordinate a consortium application or who plan to apply for an ERC Starting, Consolidator or Advanced Grant. Planning grants can be applied for at any time during the year.

Industrial Doctoral School for Research and Innovation
Every autumn and spring, you can apply for funding for four-year doctoral projects in collaboration with an external party. The research school also welcomes applications for SEK 50,000 in seed funding throughout the year for the initiation of collaborations for upcoming projects.

Umeå School of Education grants
When the calls open, they will be published on Find funding calls (under Educational sciences).
Funding for research time
Once per year, you have the opportunity to apply for individual research funding from the Umeå School of Education. The application period opens in April.
Internationalisation funding
Twice per year, you can apply for funding to participate in conferences, organise workshops or complete a research exchange. The application periods open in March and November respectively.
Planning grants
Every year in November, the Umeå School of Education offers planning grants to support researchers in writing research applications.
ULF collaboration checks
ULF (which stands for Education, Learning and Research) makes an annual call for funding aimed to establish collaboration between researchers and school staff. The application period opens every January.
Funding for research and business development in collaborations (ULF)
Each year, ULF welcomes applications for funding for practice-based research projects in collaboration with schools. The application period opens every June.
