I am employed as an HR Coordinator at the Department of Political Science at Umeå University, and I also support the Centre for Principal Development in personnel-related matters.
My role encompasses a wide range of HR-related tasks, with a particular focus on the following areas:
Recruitment, Employment, and Onboarding Coordinate and ensure the quality of processes related to recruitment and new hires, and I am responsible for the onboarding of new employees.
Work Environment and Equal Opportunities Actively work, together with the department’s Work Environment and Equal Opportunities Committee, to promote a healthy work environment and ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the university’s guidelines for equal opportunities and inclusion.
Collaboration Handle matters related to collaboration with trade unions and contribute to constructive dialogue between employer and employees.
Prevention and Rehabilitation Support managers and employees in matters concerning preventive measures (prehab) and rehabilitation processes, in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
Laws and Agreements Provide advice and support in the interpretation and application of labor law regulations, collective agreements, and internal governing documents.
Personnel Administration and Management Support Responsible for HR administrative processes and serve as a strategic support to the department’s management in personnel matters.
Fire Safety Representative I am appointed as the fire safety representative and work to ensure that the department meets current requirements in the area of fire safety.
