I am Professor in Professional Development, teaching and researching in the four main areas of Professional Development: consultation, healtchcare meetings, leadership and reflection.
I am Professor and Director of Studies in Professional Development, PhD in Sports Medicine and Associate Professor in Rehabilitation Medicine. Clinically I am a Senior Consultant, specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine and Occupational Health.
My earlier research has mainly comprised pain – in sports, in the clinic and in the lab. In my current research I am involved in all on-going PhD-projects in Professional Development, studying the areas of empathy, healthcare meetings, reflection, treatment limitation and imposter phenomenon. I am also involved in a project in collaboration with researchers at the Department of Psychology, Umeå University. The project aims to study how well-being and decision-making is influenced by work environment, stress and motivation. The study group consists of technical officials in major sports events, where they have to make important and crucial decisions under stress in demanding work environments. The project has received funding from the Badminton World Federation.
I am supervisor for PhD-students and medical students in the four main areas of Professional Development: consultation, healthcare meetings, leadership and reflection. I have a certain interest in education and development of educational methods, and was designated as Excellent Teacher at the Medical Faculty in 2020.
