Research project When a patient is too sick to gain from treatment, physicians shall make a decision to withhold further treatment. The decision shall be made together with the patient and relatives to the patient. There is little research regarding how physicians and patients view decisions to withhold treatment.
This research project will explore how physicians and patients view decisions to withhold further treatment. The aim of the research is to get a better understanding, and in the end that this improved understanding shall lead to better decisions about treatment that patients receive in the end of their lifes.
