Dr Ulf Leo is associate professor of Sociology of Law with a special focus on Educational Leadership, and appointed as excellent teacher.
Ulf’s ongoing research projects focus on principals’ pedagogical leadership, principals’ working conditions, and a Nordic research project on principals’ leadership in rural arctic areas. His research interests lie within the field of governance and leadership in and of schools and preschools. Earlier research has addressed themes such as professional norms, controversial issues, the democratic mission of schools, and education for sustainable development.
Ulf teaches in the Centre’s various educational programmes for school leaders and serves as a supervisor within the Swedish National Agency for Education’s "Riktade insatser" (targeted initiatives) as well as other collaborative projects with school authorities.
