The Academy of Fine Arts has a new exhibition space at Renmarksesplanaden 3, Umeå. Skyltfönstret, a place for small intensive art projects and presentations by and with students at Umeå Art Academy.

Last summer a princess was washed ashore in the northern harbour of Malmö. All she brought with her from the cold ocean floor was a broken suitcase heavy with dreams. It’s taken a while for her to pull it all the way up here but now she has finally arrived in Umeå and is ready and eager to break and save all your hearts. Accompanied by Karkinos the crustacean she’s going to fill the shopwindow with some of her favourite songs, poetry written all by herself and the dark mysteries of the seven seas…
