Collaborate with the Unit for Economic History

Economic history is of relevance also outside the academy, as historical perspectives can provide new knowledge for important decisions. Thus, Economic history provides an input to climate policy, social insurance policies, housing construction, and for decisions within infrastructure, health care, and education policies.

Examples of organizations that have engaged us for investigations are:

  • SIKA
  • SKB
  • Growth Analysis
  • Tillväxtverket
  • Environmental Protection Agency
  • Several local municipalities and regional associations

Our graduate alumni often work as qualified investigators in many different labour market contexts.

Within education, there is also close cooperation with national, regional and local authorities such as the Västerbotten County Council, the County Administrative Board of Västerbotten, the Swedish Competition Authority and others.
