Tid Torsdag 10 oktober, 2019 kl. 13:00 - 14:00
Plats CEDAR, Norra Beteendevetarhuset, plan 4, seminarierummet Fatmomakke

Family formation and dissolution among disabled men in the Stockholm Birth Cohort Multigenerational Study.

Decades of research has underscored the patterns of family formation and dissolution across different groups and associated implications of these patterns for long-term health and longevity. Most of these studies, however, have largely overlooked family formation and dissolution patterns among individuals with disabilities. The talk will cover the history of the 1953 Stockholm Birth Cohort Study Multigenerational Study (SBC Multigen), a cohort including 14,608 subjects as well as their parents, siblings, children, nieces and nephews, and present results from a study that used this data to explore patterns of family formation and dissolution among men who had a disability by age 18.
