I am a doctorate holder in environmental economics and have experience in teaching and research.
I am a doctorate holder in environmental economics and policy from University College Dublin, Ireland. I came to Umeå in late September of 2010 to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Environmental and Resource Economics (CERE). I have been also affiliated with the Department of Economics, which currently is part of Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics. From April 2018 I have been working as a senior lecturer at Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics.
My main duties are teaching, research and student supervision.
My research interests are in the field of environmental and energy policy instruments, their design and performance.
My current research focuses on the functioning of the European Union's Emissions Trading System and this system's impacts on firm innovative activities. Also, I am working on a project titled "Intermittency and pricing flexibility in the electricity markets."
