Find information about Umeå University's honorary doctors, new professors, award recipients and distinguished university teachers who are celebrated in connection with the 2026 Annual Celebration.
New professors, honorary doctors and scientific award recipients give their lectures in the Humanities Building and the Lindell Hall at 9:00-12:00, 17 October. They are celebrated at the Annual Celebration Ceremony 15.00 in Aula Nordica the same day.
Teaching award recipients and appointed distinguished university teachers are celebrated during the Teaching Awardee Panels, 15 October at 9:00-12:30 in Ljusgården, the Teacher Education Building.
The lectures, the Ceremony and the Teaching Awardee Panels are all open to the public.
