Umeå University actively works to promote equal rights and opportunities for all, and to combat all forms of discrimination. The Student Health Service at Umeå University is also an LGBTQI-certified organisation in accordance with RFSL guidelines. During Pride week, 21-26 September 2026, many activities will be held at and around Umeå University. The University will also fly rainbow flags across campus during the week.
During Pride at the library, the Umeå University libraries displays LGBTQI literature: the Arts Campus Library and the University Library. The libraries will highlight many items from their collections, including non-fiction, fiction and children's books. Feel free to borrow books from the exhibition!
