In the Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics research hub at Umeå University, our groups work on exploring the fundamental interactions between light and matter, with goals to innovate in spectroscopy, ultrafast science, and laser technology.
Our group works with development and applications of various types of laser-based measurement techniques.
In this field, The Optical Frequency Comb Spectroscopy Group focuses on precision measurement techniques using optical frequency combs for applications ranging from fundamental physics to environmental monitoring. The Relativistic Attosecond Physics Laboratory (REAL) investigates light-matter interactions on attosecond timescales, advancing our understanding of ultrafast processes and intense laser fields. The Laser Physics Group develops and applies advanced laser systems, contributing to diverse fields such as materials science and biophotonics.
