The course deepens the knowledge in the field of medical radiation physics and provides training in planning, implementing and both oral and written presentation of an independent project. The project involves normal work in an environment with professional hospital physicists and other healthcare personnel and aims to simultaneously strengthen the future professional role. The project can also be carried out at a company or authority with a close connection to the area. The course also includes critically reviewing another current degree project.

University: Introductory Course in Medicine, 5 hp, Radiation Biology and Radiation Protection, 7.5 hp, Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound Imaging 7.5 hp, Physics of X-Rays, 7.5 hp, Physics of Nuclear Medicine 7.5 hp, Applied Dosimetry 5 hp, and Radiation therapy 5 hp, or corresponding. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English A/6. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
