The course covers the period from World War II until the present day. The student will explore the evolution of Modernism globally and the emergence of Postmodernism in architecture and urban planning, as well as counter-movements focused on the ethical relationship between humanity and the natural environment. The student continues to develop an understanding of the history and theory of architecture in terms of the human scale, form, function, and space.

General entry requirements and Mathematics 3b or 3c or Mathematics C, Science Studies 2, Civics 1b or 1a1+1a2. Science Studies can be replaced by Chemistry 1 and Physics 1a or 1b1+1b2.
