The aim of the course is that students achieve knowledge and skills in digital image processing. Image representation. Convolution Filters. 2D and 3D signal processing. Fourier transforms. Image sampling and resampling. Gray scale operations. Segmentation. Morphology. Thinning. Edge detection. Image restoration. Image compression.

Required Knowledge

90 ECTS, of which at least 15 ECTS in Mathematics and Digital Signal Processing, 7.5 ECTS or Applied Digital Signal Processing, 7.5 ECTS or Media Signals, 15 ECTS or equivalent.
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English A/6. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
 

Selection

Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the departments own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the departments own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
