About the course

The course deals with nuclear diagnostic methods to detect the transportation ond transformation of chemical substancesof biological and other systems and provide training to control and optimize advanced nuclear diagnostic equipment.
The course covers techniques for production of radionucleides, pharmacological requirements, measurement of uptakeand excretion, radioimmunoassay, gamma and positron camera, emission computerized tomography. Applied internaldosimtery and radiation protection are also included. The course includes compulsory laboratory work.

Required Knowledge

University: At least 90 ECTS credits including the courses Radiation Dosimetry, 15 ECTS, Introductory Course in Medicine, 5 ECTS, Radiation Biology and Radiation Protection, 7.5 ECTS, Physics of X-Rays, 7.5 ECTS, or corresponding. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English A/6. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.

Selection

Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the departments own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the departments own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
