Is all research good research? The answer is unfortunately no, but knowledge about the research process is needed for determining whether a certain study is good. Among the four overbridging steps in the research process, the first two will be taken in this course, namely, (1) taking on a certain scientific perspective (paradigm) and (ii) designing the study.
Content in brief: theory of science, history of psychology, research ethics, basic scientific concepts, designs for experimental, quasi-experimental, correlational, epidemiological and qualitative studies.

Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary course English A/6. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.

Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the departments own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the departments own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
