This course provides a critical understanding of the relationship between globalization, migration and the welfare state. Attention is directed to topics such as migration, immigration, integration, the labour market as well as challenges for the welfare state in a global context. During the course there are several aspects discussed on how these topics interact and affect each other.

Required Knowledge
90 credits in a major subject within the field of social sciences, where in 15 credits must be at the bachelor level. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English A/6.
Selection
Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the departments own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the departments own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
