Partners

Are you in contact with or aware of compatible partners? Have you searched forums? How can you lay the foundations for good cooperation?

What kind of partner do you need?

Learn about the following:

  • What are the requirements for partners set by the funder or programme in question?
  • What different skills or knowledge are required to achieve the desired result?
  • How many partners are required by the funder, and how many are needed to achieve the desired result?
  • Must partners from different countries be involved?

Do you need to collaborate with others?

As a rule of thumb, at least one partner is needed for regional projects, at least two from other countries for interregional projects and at least five for projects in sectoral programmes. There are exceptions, and it is important to look at the specific requirements for each programme and call for proposals. The programme in question may also stipulate a certain number of partners (e.g., three), but involving more partners may increase the chances of your application being accepted.

Tools for finding the right partners

Find partners

Going through different clusters is a good way to find relevant partners, build networks and perhaps create a consortium for a collaborative project application to Horizon or other funds. Feel free to browse through our list ( in Swedish) of networks and clusters with different focuses. If you would like to know more or get help in contacting these networks, please contact us at the Support Office for Life Science & Health.

A good foundation for cooperation

Successful collaborations depend on trust between stakeholders. By working through the issues in this material (in Swedish), you will increase your understanding of each other's motivations, working culture and differences. A basis for discussions and improved collaborations.
