Special collections

The library's special collections mainly contains early printed books and various other items. They also include collections created in specific subject areas or by specific persons. All materials in the special collections are available and can be ordered, but some of it can only be read in the special reading room.

The Curman Book Collection

Curman's collection consists primarily of books related to art, architecture, history and topography.

The Ekström Book Collection

John Ekström created a valuable collection of books on the subject of the teaching of writing and drawing.

The Granlund Book Collection

The Granlund Book Collection include around one thousand volumes, half of the books are in mathematics.

The Östergren Book Collection

The collection has its emphasis on language studies, but also includes much in other subject areas.

The Sigrid and John Kahle Book Collection

A unique collection of books from and about the Middle East, Asia and Afrika.

Incunables

Incunables are printed books produced around 1450 to 1500.

The Swedish Antiquarian Booksellers' Association's Catalogue Collection

The library has an extensive collection of Swedish antiquarian catalogues.
