NEWS Algoryx, Infobaleen, Prediktera and Shimmercat, all spin-offs from Umeå University, are all among the brightest startups within AI in Sweden.

ImageMikael HanssonThis is according to the high level Swedish AI startup landscape map, curated by the organisations AI Sweden, Ignite Sweden and RISE. The map is part of an ongoing European initiative to create a landscape of AI startups in each country.
"We believe startups will make a big difference in accelerating the Swedish AI ecosystem and through this mapping we aim to support the growth of AI startups,” says Katarina Fégeant, Project manager at AI Sweden.
All four startups from Umeå has a close connection to research at Umeå University.
Startups really have an important role in creating innovation and growth - especially in the field of AI. This is why AI Sweden, Ignite Sweden and RISE are screening Sweden to find the best AI startups that can help accelerate and contribute to the application of AI in Sweden.
Being present on the map will serve as a quality stamp for startups, providing important intel for the innovation ecosystem, investors, government and academia, and serve as a guide for stakeholders - thus open doors for AI startups.
