NEWS On June 3 the Graduation Ceremony for 270 USBE students took place in Aula Nordica.

ImageSusanne SchmidtThere was about 270 students graduating. Many of them were international students. They all received their certificate from the Dean Sofia Lundberg. The Aula Nordica was filled with the students relatives and guests.

It is the first time that the award is given and the purpose of the award is to stimulate and maintain students' interest in how issues in business administration, economics and statistics can be related to diversity and inclusion. The financing of the prize, which is given as a scholarship, has been made possible by the USBEs collaboration with Nordea | BBU Botnia.
The prize is awarded to Hedda Dahlström and Frederik Lund-Petersen, Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE).
It is the third time that the award is given and the purpose of the award is to stimulate and maintain students' interest in the area of finance / financial economics with potential positive impact on regional skills provision. The funding of the award, which is given as a scholarship, has been made possible by USBEs collaboration with Siemens Financial Services
The prize is awarded to Patric Beijer and Moa Pålsson, Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics.
USBE Pedagogical Prize 2022 is assigned to Associate Professor Lina Schelin, Department of Statistics. Lina is recognized for her way of engaging and including students in teaching and for developing an atmosphere in the room (physical or digital) that makes students feel safe and where students’ learning is in focus.
USBE Scientific Award is awarded by the USBE Research Institute and the idea with the scientific awards is to celebrate scientific writing and distinguishes high-quality research in the field of Business Administration, Economics and Statistics.

and Fei Xu, Economics
RiseB, the Research Institute for Sustainability and Ethics in Business announces an annual thesis prize to encourage business students to become interested in and immerse themselves in sustainability and business ethics. The prize, which this year is handed out as two scholarships has been made financially possible through RiseB´s collaboration with Umeå Energi.
The winners are: Martina Reppen, Södertörn University, and Henry Müller and Felix Pahl, Stockholm School of Economics.

USBE Alumni Scholarship Foundation honors students that have contributed positively to the business school’s learning environment. The recipient of the 2022 scholarship, awarded by the USBE Alumni Scholarship foundation in cooperation with Swedbank is Hjalmar Johnson, student at the Business Administration and Economics program.
