Brain, gene and environment interactions

Research group This profile area addresses research grounded in the biological basis of human behavior, adaptation and change over time (ages) in interaction with environmental factors (epigenetic).

Presentation

The problem-based questions that this research profile search to answer is focusing on brain - behavior development, deviation and its effect of different training/interventions on cognitive, perceptual, and motor performance; effects on different sensory systems and how we perceive smell, sound and visual information. These processes are examined by use of different neuropsychological and behavioral assessments, brain imaging techniques (MRI, fMRI, ERP, EEG), eye- and movement registrations, and methods for metabolomics and chemometric bioinformatics (metabolomics). We have within the research profile a long tradition of multidisciplinary research collaborations, both on national and international level.
