I am a Psychologist and a Professor of psychology and work as a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Psychology, Umeå University. I also hold a position as research and development resource at the Habilitation Centre, Region Västerbotten.
My speciality is developmental psychology with a main interest in children with regard to early brain-behavior development, sensorimotor development, development of functional laterality, and developmental deviations with regard to these topics.
I am principal investigator in an ongoing longitudinal research project investigating the development of motor planning ability in children with and without autism, Children And Motor Planning (CHAMP), and the ability for cognitive and motor flexibility in autistic adults, Flexibility in Autism Condition (FLAC). I am also involved in various other cross-disciplinary research projects concerning function and health in children with, or at-risk for, developmental disabilities.
