Digital Models. Techno-historical collections, digital humanities & narratives of industrialisation

Research project In the project, researchers from Humlab, in collaboration with the National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, will explore the possibilities of digital technology and the narratives of industrialism about society, people, and environments, based on the museum’s collections.

The project aims, from three different cultural heritage perspectives, to examine the specificity and potential of digitization as a bridge between research, memory institutions, and visitors. The underlying idea of the project is that GLAM institutions (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) should not only focus on digitizing their collections, but also enable researchers and visitors to use, and even play, digital cultural heritage through various types of applications, tools, and software.
