The benefits of your personal page
When someone searches for your name, your personal page on umu.se appears as one of the first returned results. This makes it an important showcase for sharing your research and expanding your network. The media also use personal pages to look for experts who can discuss a topic.
Keep your personal page up to date
Note that you need to have an email address ending in @umu.se to be able to log in and edit your page.
Edit your personal page by going to your personal page. The address is www.umu.se/personal/firstname-surname. Then log in by clicking Login > Edit and click on the “Edit profile” button found under your profile picture.
Once you have filled in all the information you want to include, click on the “Publish profile” button to publish the revisions on your personal page. If you need help editing your personal page, contact your department’s or unit’s web editor. Find your nearest web editor for umu.se on Aktum (UMU ID required).

Book a time to take a portrait or press photo
As an employee, you can book a time to take a portrait or press photo with an Inhousebyrån photographer free of charge to use on your personal webpage and as a press photo. To have your photo taken, you need to book an appointment in advance. Book a time for a portrtait photo (UMU ID required).
Upload images and your press photo on your personal page
Visitors to personal pages appreciate seeing a photo of the person they are reading about. You can upload a photo and later replace it whenever you like. Find out more about how to upload a photo on your personal page (Manual)
You can add a link to a high-resolution press photo in the “Press photo” field when editing your personal page. The photo has to be uploaded on Mynewsdesk. Contact the Communications Office through Servicedesk to have your press photo uploaded to Mynewsdesk. Read more about adding a press photo (Manual, in Swedish).
