I am a urologist and researches on biomarkers for individualised treatment and treatable mechanisms for disseminated prostate cancer.
My research work focuses on translational prostate cancer research, which means that I combine clinical studies with molecular medicine methods to better understand prostate cancer. The goal is to improve the treatment for prostate cancer in different ways.
I am the research leader for SPRINTR - a national research project that wants to find methods to increase survival among men with high-risk prostate cancer, as well as reduce unnecessary side effects and costs to society.
I sit on the board of the Swedish Urological Association and sit in the steering group for the CCC accreditation process, as well as on the research strategic committee. I am also part of a national working group for clinical studies, which is a network within RCC in cooperation.
I teach at the medical program at semester 7 and supervise students in my clinical role.
