I am a doctoral student in English linguistics with a cognitive linguistic focus.
In my reseach I am interested in how we talk about outer space, especially how we talk about it as an actual physical place. Our conceptualization of outer space occurs in a field of tension between empirical knowledge, embodied cognition and imagination. This creates interesting conditions for language, which I investigate in my thesis.
