I am a Lecturer in Architecture at Umeå School of Architecture with an interest in local communities in both urban and rural settings to understand and build on social infrastructures, integration of local production with specific focus on food systems through the research project Designing Cycles at 64°, eco-systems and re-use/adaptation of the existing fabric. Since 2019 I also have the role of Deputy Head at the department with specific responsibility for external collaborations.

Before joining UMA in 2015 I was working as a practicing architect in the UK with projects ranging from small-scale conversions to larger mixed-use schemes and urban public spaces. I studied Architecture at Chalmers, Gothenburg and ENSAPLV, Paris and Professional Practice at Southbank University, London.

I am currently involved in the Vinnova funded research project Designing Cycles at 64° – with the aim to investigate the potentials for integrated, scaled up models and prototypes for local food production as well as water and energy systems in the urban fabric, specifically dealing with the conditions of a sub-arctic climate and how building extensions and envelopes can become productive.

I have been responsible for and teaching design studios in all years of the Architecture program and I am currently involved in Studio teaching for year 2-3.
