My name is Simon Lundberg and I work as a doctoral student in History and Education. My research focuses specifically on history teaching in relation to a multi-ethnic classroom context.
I have been working as a doctoral student at the Department of Historical, Philosophical and Religious studies since the autumn of 2020. I have previously worked as a senior high school teacher in history and now build on those experiences when I research different ways of teachers to re-negotiate history in relation to a multi-ethnic classroom context. In my dissertation study I am interested in how history teachers perceive and express that a multi-ethnic classroom context affects the teaching structure, opportunities and challenges. With my research I want to highlight teachers' experiences around these issues in order to create a discussion that can be valuable for others in the teaching profession to take part in.
