My name is Simon Lundberg and I work as a doctoral student in History and Education. My research focuses specifically on history teaching in relation to a multi-ethnic classroom context.
I have been working as a doctoral student at the Department of Historical, Philosophical and Religious studies since the autumn of 2020. I have previously worked as an upper secondary school teacher in history and now build on those experiences in my research about what multi-ethnic classroom contexts can mean for history teaching. One central research focus is on the relationship between teachers' descriptions of the role of their history teaching and the meaning of a multi-ethnic classroom context. With my research I want to highlight teachers' experiences around these issues in order to create a discussion that can be valuable for others in the teaching profession to take part of.
