UCMR Day is our highlight of the year! It is the centre's annual gathering being a great arena for all members to learn about new research and have fun and mingle with collegues as passionate about microbial infection research as themselves.

Save the date! Umeå Infection Symposium takes place 29 May and is jointly organised by MIMS and UCMR.
CONFERENCE. UCMR Day is an open conference arranged every year. It takes place at Umeå University campus in January.
RETREAT. UCMR arranges a yearly lunch-to-lunch retreat for all PIs affiliated to the centre.
SYMPOSIUM. Together with MIMS, UCMR organises Umeå Infection Symposium every year. The next symposium takes place 29 May 2026.
UCMR PUB. One evening per semester, a pub is arranged for informal networking within the community.
SPONSORSHIP. UCMR supports microbial research conference and workshop initiatives at Umeå University. There is a call on a yearly basis for UCMR members to apply for funding.
UCMR Day is an opportunity to increase international visibility by inviting talented keynote speakers.
The great interest highlights the need for meeting platforms focusing specifically on postdocs and PhDs.
MIMS and UCMR highlighted infection research in the form of a joint scientific symposium.
The conference encourages researchers to network and initiate interdisciplinary collaborations.
