Research

At USBE research of a high academic standard is conducted in three main fields of study: business administration, economics and statistics. Our researchers collaborate with their colleagues at USBE, with researchers at Umeå University and at other Swedish and international universities.

About our research

Our seminar series are a focal point of continuous knowledge exchange with researchers from other universities who visit and present their results for us. One of the challenges that have to be faced by universities and university colleges is financing of research. Our research is financed by means of grants from the public sector as well as by grants from external funding sources. The external funding sources include research councils and foundations as well as collaborators from the business community and the public sector.

For a long time now USBE has had valuable collaboration with the Fund for Economic Research – the Umeå School of Business and Economics and the Per and Eivor Wikström Foundation. This kind of collaboration strengthens our research environment and provides good possibilities for interaction and international exchange of our researchers and students.
