Om föreläsningen: Polycomb group proteins mediate robust and reversible silencing of genes, which contribute to developmental processes and homeostasis. Polycomb-repressed genes are expected to be challenged by various differentiation cues and cellular stresses, i.e., DNA damages, mechanical stresses. In receipt of chromatin-associated stimuli, Polycomb complexes modify their activities at target genes. I would like to show some examples and discuss its functional implications in development.
