Staffan Müller-Wille & Elena Isayev from the University of Exeter (UK) is developing a grant application to fund a project on Carl Linnaeus’s Laplandic Journey (1732). Their vision is to co-produce an online edition of the diary with experts in the region while “re-tracking” the journey in 2021 and 2022. The aim of this workshop is to explore potential themes of wider contemporary relevance ranging from sustainability and wellbeing to indigeneity and sovereignty, and identify collaborators and partner institutions for the full project application.
