Newspapers have an important function in communicating knowledge about possible measures against climate change. In this talk, we present the development of main topics and sentiments on the issue of climate mitigation by employing computational quantitative data analysis.
The focus of this contribution is on the multidimensionality of coverage by Austrian newspapers over a twenty-year period (2002-2021). In particular, the differences in reporting on climate change and he aspects of climate mitigation that are reported on in a particularly positive or negative way are discussed.
