The purpose of the prize is to encourage employees and students at the Faculty of Medicine to promote equal opportunities within the faculty. The prize is given to an individual—either an employee or a student—or to a group of employees/students at the faculty. Nominations must be submitted no later than October 15, 2025.
Equal opportunities is a broad concept encompassing efforts to promote equal rights and opportunities for all, and to counteract discrimination based on gender, transgender identity or expression, ethnicity, religion or other belief, disability, sexual orientation, and age. The concept also includes the mission of gender mainstreaming.
The recipient(s) of the award should have made a significant contribution to promoting equal opportunities within the faculty/university. Examples of such contributions include:
Spreading knowledge about equal opportunity issues among employees and students
Exercising leadership that promotes equal opportunities
Efforts to counteract discrimination among employees and students
Applying norm-critical approaches in teaching and/or research
Efforts that promote gender equality among employees and students
Efforts that promote recruitment on equal terms
Efforts that promote broader participation in education
To ensure a fair assessment, the nomination must include approximately 200 words that relates to several of the points above. All employees and students at the faculty may nominate candidates.
