With over 18 years of global experience in international affairs, digital transformation, AI, and policy-making, Tatjana Titareva brings expertise in advancing technology-driven solutions within academia, public and intergovernmental sectors. Currently, Tatjana serves on the United Nations Higher Education Sustainability Initiatives (HESI) Action Group (AG) on the Futures of Higher Education and AI (co-launched by UNESCO IESALC and UN University), specifically the Implementation Group on AI Ethics, Safety, and Inclusivity in Higher Education, and the Presidential Commission on AI at the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), as well as a reviewer of AI manuscripts for the Innovative Higher Education. Previously, she served as a guest editor for Responsible AI issue of James Madison University (JMU) International Journal on Responsibility, and a member of organizing teams of a conference and a symposium related to Responsible AI. Since 2021, she presented her AI research at eight academic conferences, published several manuscripts, and currently develops a report for higher education institutions and writes a book. In terms of AI literacy, she developed an online course for university faculty and staff, since 2024 she gave eight workshops, and took part in five roundtable discussions. Since 2022, Tatjana has cooperated with UNESCO IESALC, OECD, and the World Bank on research and awareness-raising activities on AI opportunities and risks, and global policy frameworks. In 2022-2024, Tatjana received several awards for her research in Responsible AI in Education. In 2024 - 2025, she was an AI Policy Clinics fellow at the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP) in Washington, DC.
