About the course

In what way can fiction contribute to a more sustainable world? The course provides an introduction to the theoretical field "ecocriticism" and "cultural ecology" and applies these starting points in the analysis of German-language fictional texts from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of English equivalent of English 6/English Course B from Swedish upper secondary school.
Univ: At least 90 ECTS, including 7,5 ECTS German Literature, with academic progression (corresponding to level 61-90 hp in the Swedish academic system) in the academic subject German, or equivalent knowledge.
