The purpose of the course is to prepare the students for advanced studies and a labour market where the understanding of the political and administrative dimensions of public leadership can be a career instrument. A central part of the course is therefore to analyze factors which influence leaders and the governance of public administration. Independent and well performed work in the course should then add to a sought-after competence for leading positions within the state, municipalities or different organizations.
At least 90 credits in a subject within the social sciences as a main field of study, including a thesis of at least 15 credits.
Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish Upper Secondary course English 6. Where the language of instruction is Swedish, applicants must prove proficiency in Swedish to the level required for basic eligibility for higher studies.
