About the course

The course is intended to be read during the second semester of second cycle studies in philosophy and consists in writing a 15 credits thesis in philosophy under supervision. The topic for the thesis is proposed by the student but must be approved by the course coordinator and the supervisor. The course constitutes the degree project for a one-year master's degree in philosophy but can also be included in a two-year master's degree in philosophy. The teaching language is English. Together with the course Magister course in philosophy II, 15 credits, it amounts to one semester of full-time studies.

In addition, proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English B/6 is required. Prior studies comprising 30 ECTS credits of second cycle studies in philosophy are recommended.
