Life science research in Umeå is versatile, interdisciplinary and of high scientific competence. The Coalition Umeå for Life Science (CU4LS) aims to highlight the strengths and richness of Umeå life science research activities, spanning research areas from molecules to man, from microorganisms to ecosystems, from theoretical approaches to experimental sciences and into clinical research. Over twenty research centres/units and infrastructures from Umeå University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), and the University Hospital of Umeå have joined the coalition already.
We cordially invite all CU4LS partners, everyone from the Umeå life science research community and everybody else who is interested in life science to the CU4LS Kick-off!
The Kick-off event will take place in Rotundan (Universum) on Friday, October 22nd, 15:00-16:30.
In addition to information about the initiative and short presentations from some CU4LS representatives, there will be presentations from Jenni Nordborg who is the National Coordinator for Life Sciences at the Government Offices in Sweden and Jennie Ekbeck who is the CEO of Umeå Biotech Incubator.
It will be possible to follow the event online. Registration (latest by October 20th, 16:00) is required.
