NEWS WCMM Fellows Silvia Remeseiro and Francesca Aguilo have been awarded a total of SEK 8.4 million. It has become clear following announcements from the Swedish Research Council and the Swedish Cancer Society on what scientists that are awarded grants in 2019.

ImageMattias PetterssonThe largest grant is awarded from the Swedish Research Council (VR) Medicine and Health to newly recruited WCMM Fellow Silvia Remeseiro, Umeå Centre for Molecular Medicine (UCMM), for research on gene regulation and 3D organization in brain tumours. Remeseiro receives a starting grant for four years at a total of SEK 6 million.
Francesca Aguilo
ImageMattias PetterssonFrancesca Aguilo, WCMM Fellow at the Department of Medical Biosciences, receives funding for research on an epitranscriptomic signature in breast tumorigenesis and metastasis. The Swedish Cancer Society awards a 3-year grant at a total of SEK 2,4 million.
